In its first edition, the FIV has as its backdrop the Paço da Liberdade, a historic building located in downtown Curitiba. Inaugurated on February 24, 1916, it was the headquarters of the Curitiba City Hall and the Museum of the State of Paraná. 

 

  The building is listed by the municipal heritage and the Secretary of State for Culture of the Government of Paraná, in addition to the National Historical Heritage (IPHAN).

  Reopened in 2009, after undergoing a thorough restoration, it became a cultural center managed by Sistema SESC.
